Hand Wound Monday: River Bank Leaping

Fiend reader, LJ, writes:

I leapt into a dry river bed expecting to land on the bank on the opposite side. It turned out that the bank was not 2 feet away but 8 or so feet away; what I mistook for a bank was actually a whole shitload of plants growing up 5 feet from the bottom. My feet must've touched the ground, because I said "I'm OK" before I was done falling; then I hit the bottom with my hip and hands.

Good thing all I wounded was my hand!!!
